A narrow miss from number 14, Formaston, meant Coventry City Ladies had to settle for a satisfying close defeat.

Coventry City Ladies head coach, Paul Cudby said about the game: "I'm really happy with today's result and the overall performance of the team. To finish the game with only conceding one goal against the current leaders of the super league is a good result.

There were a few very good individuals out there on the field today and I can't wait to see them develop over future games.

There's only six weeks until the start of the season and I believe we can build on today's events to play some very good matches."
