Leamington Ladies 1 - 14 Coventry City Ladies
Friendly 13/08/06
Reserves looking ready

Sarah Marshall scored five and strike partners Ria Baker and Katy Box bagged a hat trick each as the Ladies Reserves overwhelmed Leamington Ladies in their latest pre-season game. Manager Craig Trippas was full of praise for the way the Sky Blues had set about their task, but despite the scoreline still felt that his young side had been guilty of taking their eye off the ball. "The girls played some great stuff early on to go 5 goals clear very quickly; but then allowed a little complacency to creep in and at times they got sloppy. I had to remind them to keep working. Leamington are not a bad side, but their pre-season may not be as advanced as ours and our fitness levels seemed to tell as the game wore on." "We need to keep this up this coming Sunday against Birmingham University, we're determined to hit the ground running when the season kicks off in three weeks time" City's other scorers were Kyra Gleeson, Amanda Whalley and Sigourney Gowlett.
