21 December 09 - County Cup
The Coventry City Ladies County Cup third round tie at home to Leamington Lions did not go ahead as planned today but the Sky Blues were awarded the tie as the visitors forfeited the match. City will now go into the hat for the fourth round which is scheduled to be played on the 17th of January. CCLFC wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
13 December 09 - FA Cup Match Report
Today CCLFC lost 4-1in the FA Cup at home to Derby. Emily Hanson scored City's only goal as the Sky Blues gave a good account of themselves. To read the match report click here.

With the Sky Blues match at Radcliffe Olympic falling victim to the weather, Sporting Club Albion took full advantage with an 8-5 victory away to TNS, the high scoring win closes the gap at the top to five points. 29 November 09 - FA Cup draw
History has repeated itself, just as Coventry played the Leicester City Women in the 3rd round last year, they will face the team that pipped them to promotion the previous season again! After being runners up to Leicester in 2008, the Sky Blues were defeated 3-1 by them in the Cup later that year. Derby stole promotion from the Sky Blues in their final game in 2009 and in two weeks time City will host them in the third round of the Cup. The tie will be played on December the 13th at Westwood Heath with a 13:00 kick off.

The Coventry City Ladies are still in the hunt for the Midland Women's Combination League Title after Derby lost 2-1 last night at Wolves. The result means that with one game left to play a Sky Blues victory would be enough
to secure promotion if the Rams come away with anything less than a win at Crewe. Coventry host Loughboro Students on Sunday at 14:00 whilst Derby don't play until Tuesday.

6 April 09 - Weekend Update
Whilst the Coventry City Ladies enjoyed a well earned weekend off, their title rivals were both in action. Wolves were 4-2 victors at bottom club Crewe whilst Derby needed a last minute strike to snatch a 2-1 victory at
home to Radcliffe Olympic. The results mean that Coventry hold a slender lead over Derby by virtue of a better goal difference though the Rams have a game in hand. That match will see them travel to visit a red hot Wolves
side that trail by 6 points but have 2 games in hand. Sunday the 12th will see Derby travel to Coventry to take on Copsewood whilst the Sky Blues head off to Tipton for a showdown with West Brom. Wolves entertain an in-form
Leicester City Ladies.

to score twice within 12 minutes of coming off the bench. Jade Formaston, Helen Dermody, Abi Cockayne & Nikki Miles each added one apiece as the Sky Blues comfortably dispatched Radcliffe Olympic. The result keeps the pressure

Coventry City Ladies lost their 100% home record today & likely any thoughts of promotion as they suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Wolves. All of the visitors goals came from first half set pieces as Laura Smith struck
from a corner with the opener on 6 minutes before hitting the third on 30 minutes with an excellently placed free kick. Jenni Anslow had provided the 2nd goal just 2 minutes earlier with an almost identical effort & Anne
Johnson wound up a forgettable first 45 for the Sky Blues as she notched the fourth in the final minute.
The Sky Blues fought back hard in the second period but late goals from Kirsty Robson & Natasha Lynch weren't enough to nick anything from the game. Derby leapfrog City on goal difference after a 2-1 victory over L'boro

The Coventry City Ladies overcame the weather & some poor officiating to escape Nottinghamshire with a deserved 3-2 victory over Radcliffe Olympic. Two second half goals from Helen Dermody ensured the Sky Blues title ambition
